OSJ is saddened to hear that Derek Ashcroft our founder passed away on Friday 29th January, Derek’s hard work and commitment he gave to the development of OSJ will never be forgotten.

OSJ would like to offer its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Ann, Martin and Sharron at this very sad time.

The funeral will take place on Friday 5th February at 11.30 St Mark’s, Newton, Wigan and at 12.30 at Wigan Crematorium.

The club was founded in 1984 and runs team from under 7s through to open age. Each age group having a fully qualified and experienced coach. We regard ourselves as a friendly family club and we try to get all members of the family involved. It is our intention to ultimately develop a new Club House and new pitches of our own, and we are working with our Local Authority to try to identify suitable land within the district.
